Netflix has released the official trailer of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's docuseries Harry & Meghan on Monday 5 December.

NETFLIX RELEASES TRAILER FOR HARRY AND MEGHAN' Telling one of the most high-profile love stories in history, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry dive into their relationship and experiences in the trailer for their docuseries - Harry & Meghan.

Last week a teaser trailer was released. The teaser began with images of the pair, some of which looking glum, while others included big moments like Meghan being pregnant. Prince Harry teased No one sees what's happening behind closed doors . Meghan was seen shedding a tear.

The teaser did not reveal the release date and just stated that the docuseries was coming soon . However, the docuseries now has a release date - 8 December.

The trailer shows various shots of the couple covering the war against Meghan in the press. There is also a clip of Harry's mom Princess Diana with the voice over speaking about the pain and suffering endured by women marrying into this institution .

It's really hard to look back at it now and go what on Earth happened, said the Duke of Sussex.

According to Netflix's fan site Tudum, Harry & Meghan is a six-part documentary series exploring the pair's relationship from it's early days to their courtship. The docuseries also covers the controversies and challenges which prompted the pair to step back from their duties as senior members of the royal family.

The docuseries includes interviews with historians and journalists - who dissect how media influenced the Duke and Duchess' relationship with the royal family and the Commonwealth at large.

Harry & Meghan is set to premiere in two parts:

Volume I (episodes 1-3) on 8 December

Volume II (episodes 4-6) on 15 December
