Less than five years ago, NBC Sports was operating under stringent COVID-related guidelines to produce broadcasts of both the postponed 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics and 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. Fast forward to this past summer, and the network enjoyed a pre-pandemic atmosphere with behind-the-scenes access to the athletes and the thrill of packed crowds in Paris.
