Techex, a pioneering leader in live video workflows, will showcase its broadest software feature set to date at IBC 2026 (Stand 2.B45), extending its lead in software-defined live contribution, content transformation and distribution. The companys modular software-defined media platform, tx darwin, arrives at the show with native MXL and TAMS integration, enhanced and AI-driven Live Event Management and Consumer Multiview, and full bandwidth JPEG XS contribution over SRT with tx edge for compromise-free live sports production in the cloud.

On its stand, Techex will run several live MXL demonstrations with ecosystem partners, showing how tx darwins native support for open, multi-vendor architectures is moving from broadcaster ambition into deployable, everyday practice.

Compromise-Free Live Sports Production in the Cloud For live sports, tx darwin and tx edge together support full bandwidth JPEG XS contribution over protocols such as SRT, making uncompromised, low-latency production genuinely achievable at scale in the cloud. Sport remains the toughest proving ground for live production, demanding scale, speed and reliability simultaneously, and Techexs approach ensures broadcasters no longer need to trade quality for cloud economics.

Also on show is Consumer Multiview, which enables live sports fans to follow multiple parallel events through the broadcasters own platform. As a server-side solution that scales and flexes to match the transient nature of sports events, Consumer Multiview deepens viewer engagement and reduces subscriber churn, reaching every customer regardless of viewing device.

Smarter Monetisation: Live Event Management, SCTE-35 and AI-Driven Ad Break Insertion As production, distribution and monetisation converge into layers of the same software stack, Techex is showing how tx darwin helps broadcasters protect and monetise every live moment. Enhanced MCR in the cloud and Live Event Management workflows now support Dolby audio, subtitle insertion, HDR and an expanded range of encoding modules, and can be spun up on demand to match an events duration, maximising ad revenue while optimising compute.

New at IBC 2026, Techex is previewing in collaboration with partners, AI-driven ad break insertion, extending this signalling and insertion capability with automated, AI-assisted detection and placement of breaks.

Open, Software Defined Architecture: MXL and TAMS Techex is an active contributor to the open initiatives shaping the next generation of production. Through native MXL inputs, outputs and service discovery, tx darwin brings its full uncompressed processing toolkit, including resolution scaling, deinterlacing, HDR/SDR conversion, HTML5 graphics keying and audio handling, into multi-vendor cloud production, giving broadcasters best-of-breed software infrastructure without lock-in.
