Cinedigms The Invisible War Named Best-Reviewed Documentary of 2012 by Rotten Tomatoes Golden Tomato Award Given to Years Best-Reviewed Film

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Cinedigm (NASDAQ: CIDM), the global leader in digital distribution, announced today that Cinedigms The Invisible War is the winner of the Golden Tomato Award for best-reviewed documentary film of 2012 from Rotten Tomatoes, the webs leading aggregator of reviews from top movie critics. The Invisible War has also been nominated for an Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature.

From master filmmakers Kirby Dick (This Film is Not Yet Rated) and Amy Ziering (Outrage), The Invisible War is a vital and frank expose of sexual assault in the military, one of the most under-reported stories of our time. The film has been highly acclaimed since its release in June, including being named one of the Top Ten films of the year by TIME, New York Times and The Christian Science Monitor as well as being chosen as the Best documentary of 2012 by both the Chicago and San Diego Film Critics Associations. The film has also been recognized by the Independent Spirit Awards, Writers Guild of America and Directors Guild of America.

Rotten Tomatoes gives awards to the years best reviewed wide and limited releases, along with the top titles in a variety of genres. According to the Tomatometer, which measures the percentage of positive reviews from Rotten Tomatoes critics, The Invisible War received a 100% positive rating with 57 reviews.
