Hot off the heels of their crime-thriller film, Collision, Netflix has more entertainment in store for Mzansi. The streaming giant's upcoming thriller series titled Justice Served is set to star some of Mzansi's top actors including The River star Hlomla Dandala.

JUSTICE SERVED' In the upcoming six-part series, Justice Served, South Africans are called on to decide the fate of a white man, Allan Harve, who is accused of killing a young black man. Local citizens only have a few hours to vote for his execution or exoneration.

The series is described as a high-stakes drama that unfolds in a hijacked courtroom while tensions and conflict fills the streets of South Africa which threatens to divide the country, families and friends.

Justice Served, set to premiere on 29 July, comes after Netflix's successful titles Savage Beauty, Young Famous & African and Senzo: Murder of a Soccer Star.

A STAR-STUDDED CAST TAKES CENTRE STAGE South African actor Hlomhla Dandala, best known for his roles on The River, Happiness Is a Four Letter Word and The Republic, will play freedom fighter and military veteran Azania Maqoma, who presents himself as an arbiter of justice.

Allan Harve, who plays a man accused of killing a young black man, will be played by Morn Visser.

Other key cast include Anton Jeftha, Pallance Dladla, Lerato Mvelse, Jack Devnarain and Motshbi Tyelele.

WHO WILL BE DIRECTING JUSTICE SERVED'? Justice Served has three talented local directors behind it. Award-winning directors Jozua Malherbe, best known for his work on the 2019 series Trackers, Zwelethu Radebe and co-creator of Rhythm City, Rolie Nikiwe are the minds behind the six-part series.

The series was created by Meraki Studios and Tshepo Ty Skosana.
