TVU Networks Wins Two Best of Show Awards at NAB 07

TVU Producer receives a Best of Show Award from Video Edge, while TVU One with HEVC mobile IP transmitter wins a Best of Show Award from TV Technology MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA - May 4, 2017 - TVU Networks, the global technology and innovation leader in live IP video solutions, is the recipient of two NewBay Media Best of Show Awards, presented last month at the 2017 NAB Show. TVU Network's TVU One mobile transmitter solution with support for the H.265/HEVC video compression standard received NewBay's Best of Show Award from TV Technology, while TVU Networks' new solution for web-based live production, TVU Producer, won NewBay's Best of Show Award from Video Edge.

TVU Networks took its popular TVU One mobile uplink solution a step further at NAB this year with the introduction of the new TVU One with HEVC mobile IP newsgathering transmitter, which supports the H.265/HEVC video compression standard. The TVU One with HEVC cellular mobile solution uses both HEVC video compression and TVU's patented Inverse Statmux Plus (IS+) transmission algorithm which transmits HD quality video with half-second latency. The new TVU One live video streaming solution takes advantage of the improved compression and data management inherent in HEVC encoding, using less data and performing with even greater stability than ever before.

TVU One with HEVC is available with embedded modems and can transmit simultaneously over multiple connections, including cellular, microwave, satellite, BGAN, WiFi, and Ethernet. Weighing just 2.2 pounds, TVU One with HEVC offers a robust set of functions designed to fit the needs of any size live video broadcaster. With simple worry-free operation, it delivers industry-leading video transmission resiliency and high-definition picture quality within an ultra-compact and rugged hardware chassis. With TVU One with HEVC, broadcasters can fully leverage the versatility of a small, lightweight, IP-based high-definition video field transmitter without sacrificing performance, features or picture quality.

TVU Producer, the recipient of the NewBay Best of Show Award from Video Edge, is a new solution for web-based live production. Running on a TVU Transceiver, TVU Producer enables broadcasters to easily produce live content to social media. Featuring a simple Web interface and support for Facebook API, TVU Producer makes it possible for a station's digital producer to work within the same broadcast workflow as the traditional TV producer. With TVU Producer, users can seamlessly switch between incoming TVU transmitter sources, SDI inputs and uploaded video slate sources, add a graphic overlay and stream the produced output to popular social media sites such as Facebook Live and YouTube Live.
