On Rewind wins Fan Engagement Award at the International Sport Convention posted: 08/12/2020
Today, EMG sports technology company On Rewind won an
International Sports Awards in the category Best of Fan Engagement with its work on the
Proximus Pickx app & website. Celebrating the finest sports work in the world - the
INTERNATIONAL SPORTS AWARDS (ISA) celebrates these individual, group and company
achievements with honor and recognition on an annual basis. On Rewind was rewarded this
year for developing a gamified live video streaming platform, to provide subscribers of
Proximus' All Sports TV pack a new and innovative experience on its Proximus Pickx app and
website.
Released in October 2020 to coincide with the resumption of UEFA Champions League football,
On Rewind's work appealed to thousands of Proximus customers at a time when the pandemic
has changed the way they consume sports. By providing an innovative way to foster fan engagement, the On Rewind interactive video player allows Proximus customers to discover
the teams' line-ups; keep an eye on key statistics of the game; browse the latest results of the
two teams; check the rankings or instantly watch the best highlights of the match.
Connected to the Proximus data provider iDalgo, On Rewind's data analyser algorithm detects
in real time the actions to display on the video player. The user feels like playing a video game
and has full control of the content to personalize his watching experience.
