On 12 September at the Microsoft Theater in downtown Los Angeles, HBO received 29 awards at the Creative Arts Emmys, which celebrate technical achievements in television. The network received accolades for drama series Game of ThronesBessie, which won four awards; documentary Going Clear, which won three awards; and miniseries The Jinx and Olive Kitterage which won two awards each.
NBC received 11 awards, with Saturday Night Live 40th Anniversary Special taking four of the wins. FX won eight awards, with five awards going to American Horror Story.
