Blancco Adds Rapid Reset & Report' Feature to Data Erasure Solution for Mobile Devices - Sep 05 2013 New feature makes Blancco Mobile the first complete solution for mobile processing, giving organizations more choices for managing mobile data security
Joensuu, Finland, September 5, 2013 - Smartphones already outsell desktops by more than 5 to 1, and smartphone and tablet sales are expected to represent 95% of the entire phone and personal computer market by 2016.* In the face of this skyrocketing growth, Blancco announced today that it is equipping its Blancco Mobile data erasure solution for mobile devices with a new feature to give organizations an additional choice for managing mobile data security.
Blancco Mobile now includes a rapid factory resetting option in addition to full data erasure, making it the first complete solution for mobile processing. The solution works for Android, iOS, BlackBerry, Windows Mobile and Nokia Symbian devices.
Mobile device processors, brokers and service providers need a fast and efficient way to reset smartphones and tablets so that chances of a device reaching the secondhand market with sensitive business or personal data are minimized, said Kim V is nen, CEO and Co-Founder of Blancco. While we recommend Blancco Mobile's full data erasure for complete security and regulatory compliance, the new Reset and Report' feature is ideal for quickly resetting large volumes of devices-up to 20 at a time-with minimal resources and a report as proof.
The Reset and Report feature generates a report after resetting, confirming that the process was completed. The new feature is compatible with the Blancco Management Console, which automatically receives the reset or erasure reports.
