Agreement significantly strengthens Grass Valley's presence in the regional news market of India, positioning the company as a trusted partner across South Asia
MONTREAL, CANADA - September 30, 2024 - Grass Valley, the leading innovator for live production solutions, is pleased to announce that IBC 24, a prominent regional news channel based in Chhattisgarh & Madhya Pradesh, India, has chosen Grass Valleys state-of-the-art end-to-end AMPP software defined solution to modernize its broadcast infrastructure. The strategic upgrade is a core part of IBC 24s relocation to a new, cutting-edge facility that underscores its commitment to delivering high-quality OTT and linear news content to its viewers.
Ravikant Mittal, Editor-in-Chief at IBC 24, explained that Grass Valleys solutions, including AMPP, were selected to ensure the channel delivers the fastest and most reliable real-time news coverage to its viewers. This partnership will enable us to enhance our service offerings and provide our clients with exceptional content powered by cutting-edge technology.
The deal represents one of the largest implementations of Grass Valleys AMPP in South Asia for a 24/7 news network. The comprehensive solution will support approximately 40 AMPP users and involve an additional 30 to 40 personnel in live production workflows, making it a significant milestone in the regions media production landscape.
Included in the new deployment are the high-performance LDX 92 and LDX C92 cameras for superior image capture, the K Frame VXP video production switcher, Densit modular processing platform, and the Sirius Router with Multiviewer for efficient signal management. Additionally, Framelight X and Playout X will facilitate collaboration across distributed teams and enhance content delivery, ensuring IBC 24 maintains its competitive edge.
This deal marks a pivotal moment for the channel as we modernize our infrastructure with state-of-the-art technology to support our current needs and position us to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving news industry, said Dinesh Goel, Promoter at IBC 24. AMPP offers a centralized repository for all media assets, and scales according to the organizations requirements for optimal resource use, providing browser-based editing that is accessible from anywhere. The AMPP integration will revolutionize the channel's operations by enhancing its workflow and enabling the team to create content of exceptional quality, said Kishore Karmakar, assistant vice president IT at IBC 24.

Their LDX cameras stand out with advanced color correction capabilities, offering creative control directly from an iPad, ensuring exceptional quality output, commented Rakesh Patel, Technical Head at IBC 24. The K Frame VXP video production switcher delivers full raster 4K, representing the best in its class. Additionally, the Sirius hybrid router, equipped with the AHP option, streamlines cabling requirements and allows for seamless management of facility signals.
