Universal Electronics QuickSet cloud database powers new award-winning Sevenhugs Smart Remote

Universal Electronics Inc. (UEI), (NASDAQ:UEIC), the worldwide leader in universal control and sensing technologies for the smart home, has partnered with Sevenhugs to power its new product called Smart Remote, a touchscreen universal remote that makes it incredibly easy to control devices that currently require a remote or app. Sevenhugs will be using UEIs cloud database to gain near real-time access to UEIs comprehensive list of infrared devices and control codes.

Smart Remote by Sevenhugs recently received the best new product award in the Smart Home category at CES 2017 and is the worlds first consumer product that integrates an indoor positioning system. When you point Smart Remote at a device, it automatically displays an easy to use screen to control what you are pointing at, providing instant and intuitive multi-device control. Smart Remote can be used to control everything in the house, from television and music to heating and lighting. You can even use Smart Remote or order an Uber by simply pointing at your front door.
