Ocho de los nuevos servidores 4K de Arkaos han ofrecido una soluci n de v deo de 360 grados para la reciente cuarta edici n alemana de la popular franquicia de televisi n Dancing on Ice, que se grab recientemente en el recinto del Coloneo de la Magic Media Company en Ossendorf, Colonia, en un montaje especial que se personaliz para la primera serie.
El dise ador de iluminaci n del programa fue Manuel Da Costa, muy conocido en el mundo de la televisi n, y ha iluminado DSDS y muchos otros espect culos musicales y de talento alemanes.
Da Costa trabaj junto a su dise ador visual habitual, Dennis Muhl, que quer a ejecutar las pistas de v deo a trav s de su consola grandMA3. El proveedor de pantallas y v deo fue ETC Alemania.
Se pusieron en contacto con Arkaos en busca de una nueva soluci n de servidor que pudiera ofrecer un rendimiento de renderizado de alta calidad, y que fuera f cil e intuitivo de controlar desde una consola de iluminaci n.
Necesitaron esto para el mapeo video r pido y exacto de la pantalla de LEDs que cubr a 360 metros cuadrados y que envolv a el estudio que era integral al dise o de la producci n as como el hardware con capacidades del genlock.
La pantalla LEDs eran de tres diferentes pitches ( 2.8, 5.7 y 8.6), y los dos anillos principales alrededor del estudio eran 6768 y 8568 x 144 pixeles de resoluci n, respectivamente. Adem s de esto, cuatro banners de LEDs se extendieron entre 1768 y 4160 por 728 p xeles junto a una tira de LEDs delante de la posici n del jurado.
Se utilizaron ocho videoproyectores Panasonic de 31.000 l menes para proyectar im genes detalladas e intrincadas sobre el hielo, utiliz ndolo efectivamente como otra pantalla.
Adem s de todo eso, hab a 44 universos LED que necesitaban ser mapeados a trav s de la red en la consola de iluminaci n grandMA2.
Dennis ten a en mente utilizar los servidores 4K de Arkaos tras un encuentro en la feria ISE en 2018 con Olli Winkler de LMP, el distribuidor alem n de Arkaos.
Despu s de la exposici n, Dennis y sus colegas asistieron a uno de los programas regulares de formaci n gratuita de Arkaos para profundizar en el popular software MediaMaster de la marca belga y su intuitivo VideoMapper.
Dennis vio esto como una oportunidad ideal para comprobar el software MediaMaster con DOI en mente, despu s de lo cual orden una versi n demo para probarlo m s a fondo.
Sobrepasar los l mites t cnicos Olli y Dennis conocieron a Manuel Da Costa en la sede de la empresa MDC de este ltimo, donde hablaron sobre el dise o general de producci n que Manuel ten a en mente y sobre c mo el sistema de ArKaos ayudar a a facilitar la est tica espec fica.
Todos ellos aceptaron la idea de sobrepasar los l mites t cnicos y de utilizar el servidor 4K para manejar contenidos de v deo de alta calidad totalmente integrados en la consola de iluminaci n.
Todo el mundo ten a muchas preguntas relacionadas con el rendimiento de los servidores en relaci n con el c dec HAPQ de alta calidad, ya que el tama o del contenido de v deo era enorme. Tambi n hablaron extensamente sobre las nuevas funcionalidades del DMX surface control de Arkaos, ya que ser an el primer equipo de visuales del mundo en utilizarlo.
Despu s de esto, ETC Alemania hizo el pedido de los ocho servidores, m s uno de repuesto, para que Dennis y Manuel pudieran tener el control de v deo potente, flexible y din mico que necesitaban.
El hardware fue entregado directamente a los estudios de MMC donde los servidores fueron instalados por Dennis, adem s de Olli Winkler, quien tambi n apoy la primera configuraci n y estuvo disponible para Dennis y Viola Weinert, el granjero de servidores de MDC, durante la programaci n.
