The launch of The Nightly Show continues a nearly twenty-year relationship between NEP and Comedy Central, who have used NEP and their Studio 54 for two other highly successful late night programs The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and The Colbert Report.

We are thrilled that Comedy Central has decided to use Studio 54 for The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore. This is an exciting new project for us, and we are honored that Comedy Central has tapped Studio 54 once again as the launching pad for what we hope will be yet another tremendously successful show produced at this studio, says Senior Vice President and General Manager of NEP Studios Barry Katz.

Out of the 54th Street studio, NEP will provide Comedy Central with an entirely turnkey solution, providing the studio facilities, office space, production equipment, engineering support, and facilities management. Having the ability to put the whole production under one roof provides a show with optimum creative capabilities and this is reflected on screen.

Studio 54 has an extremely positive history for us, so we are excited to make it the home of The Nightly Show, says Rory Albanese, Executive Producer of The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore. Many of their staff have been working with Comedy Central for years some since we moved into Studio 54 in 1998.
