Kochi, Keralam, India, October 17, 2026 - Dolby Laboratories (NYSE: DLB), a leader in immersive entertainment experiences, and EVM Cinemas today announced the launch of Keralam's first Dolby Cinema at EVM Cinemas in Fort Kochi, Kochi. Marking the fifth Dolby Cinema in India, the new auditorium brings together Dolby's advanced sight and sound innovations with a specially designed cinema environment, offering audiences in Keralam a truly unique and transformative way to experience movies on the big screen.

The 450-seater Dolby Cinema auditorium opens to the public soon, with the release of several anticipated movies in Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. The launch marks another step in Dolby's continued expansion of premium immersive theatrical experiences across India and brings Dolby Cinema to Keralam, a state with a long-standing connection to cinematic storytelling.

The Dolby Cinema auditorium at EVM Cinemas has been designed around the Dolby Cinema experience, bringing together the subtle details and ultravivid colours of Dolby Vision, the immersive sound of Dolby Atmos and a specially designed cinema environment. Dolby Vision brings the characters to life with darker darks, brighter brights, and a remarkable colour range you can't get anywhere else, while Dolby Atmos offers sound in incredible clarity that actually moves all around you, bringing you deeper into the story. This ultimate combination is so lifelike - you don't just see and hear the movie - you feel all the story.

The cinema's design complements the technical innovations with a wall-to-wall-to-ceiling screen, carefully engineered acoustics and an environment specially designed to minimize distractions.
