The exciting team-up of Live 4K video delivery solution providers is exactly what the industry needs to help fuel mass consumer adoption. Historically speaking, HDTV mass adoption coincided with the advent of live HD events, such as sports and concerts. The original game plan was spot on and the timing is right to run the same play. Global UHD TV shipments will increase to 67M units by 2017 and 100M units by 2018 according to Digital Research. NA is estimated to grow from 12% of total Global Sales to 21% by 2017, or 14M units.
