Venice, CA-based production company Durable Goods has signed director Sue-Ling Braun for U.S. commercial representation. Braun is a director, creative director and writer with a trademark that fuses diverse youth culture with distinct, editorial style. Fascinated with the intersection of media and technology, her directorial background spans music videos, narrative web series, on-air promos and branded spots featured on networks like MTV, VH1, Showtime, HBO, PBS, CBS and CNN, major digital publishers including Upworthy, where she was Creative Director, and a myriad of international film festivals.
With wide-ranging experience as a director and creative director of provocative, sleek content for the evolving digital media landscape, Braun has her finger on the pulse of what resonates with viral pop-culture audiences. She has lent her talents to branded work for top clients such as Samsung, Starbucks, Quicksilver, Unilever and Diageo, among others.

Notes Durable Goods Executive Producer Rebecca Wray, Sue-Ling has a talent for utilizing an edgy style in her work that brings heightened fashion visuals to any genre. I've had the pleasure of working with her before and am looking forward to collaborating with our clients to leverage her expansive digital and creative skillset. Adds Braun, After spending a lot of time on direction, I'm really looking forward to working with Rebecca again and fully diving back into directing spots.
Inspired by the culturally diverse landscape of Los Angeles in the 90s, LA-native Braun was drawn to bringing that aesthetic to mainstream pop culture. Braun earned a Masters of Fine Arts (MFA) in Film Directing from the American Film Institute. She launched her career as the first video lead for American Apparel, building the new department and directing the brand's first digital campaign. The youth fashion sensibilities she gleaned from America Apparel, mixed in with her stint of music video directing, led Braun to VH1. There, she spent several years leading the digital video department, as well as directing and creating image spots and narrative digital series aimed towards a female millennial audience. The storytelling devotee prides herself in her abilities to adapt to the ever-changing digital landscape and create multiplatform projects that produce reflexive dialogues with viewers.
