IBC, Amsterdam, 12th September 2017 - Accedo (https://www.accedo.tv), the video experience pioneer, today announced the launch of its Operator Tier Android TV Launcher as a platform within the Accedo Studio Pay TV edition product. The Launcher enables pay TV operators to embrace and extend their set-top-box video services to the dynamic and open Android TV ecosystem, while remaining in control of their brand experience at all times.
By offering an operator-centric product with extensive customization options, the Accedo Studio Operator Tier Launcher for Android TV allows pay TV operators to differentiate their video services, own the user experience, and fully prioritize their content ahead of third-party content; all while achieving a very short time to market. Integration to an operators content management systems, video infrastructure, and other back-office components is easily handled, thereby removing complexity and creating cost efficiencies.
Providing a personalized, recommendation-enabled user experience, in combination with a traditional broadcast channel guide, the Accedo Studio Operator Tier Launcher for Android TV gives easy access to OTT and broadcast services including: Recordings; Catch-up TV; Movies on Demand, TV on Demand, plus the wide world of Android app-based content. Furthermore, Accedos cloud-based user interface management platforms allow the operator to re-brand, re-skin, and re-configure the Launcher with a customized user interface for each deployment.
