The Sports Video Group is excited to welcome IO Industries as a corporate sponsor. IO Industries Inc. designs and manufactures digital video cameras, digital video recorders, and software for applications in volumetric video capture, live event broadcasting, aerospace and defense testing, scientific research, and industrial machine vision. Since 1991, the company's products have been proudly designed and built in Canada, at their headquarters in London, Ontario.
For the sports community, IO Industries pushes the limits of high-bandwidth streaming video and synchronized multi-camera arrays, with a multidisciplinary approach of leveraging technologies and techniques from different markets and application spaces. Customers turn to IO Industries whether it's to assemble a studio of 100+ uncompressed 4K cameras or provide its high-resolution SDI mini-cameras for use in hard-to-fit locations.
In the real world, IO Industries has been quite busy at multiple sporting events across the globe. During the 148th Open, the popular Volumetric video capture system was used at Royal Portrush. The same product was just recently showcased at IBC 2019 in Amsterdam.
The company's fleet of mini-cameras has been used in for several years as either special angle or POV applications. The Flare 4KSDI was implemented at the 2019 MLB All-Star Game in Cleveland's Progressive Field.
