RT COVERAGE OF BUDGET 2014 14 October 2013: RT will provide comprehensive coverage of Budget 2014 on Tuesday 15th October with extensive reporting and analysis across television, radio, online and mobile platforms.

Television

Coverage of Budget 2014 begins on RT One at 2.00pm with live coverage of the Budget speeches by the Minister for Finance, Michael Noonan TD and the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform, Brendan Howlin TD. Presented by Bryan Dobson and Keelin Shanley, the programme will feature live coverage and analysis right through the afternoon. Nuacht will directly follow on RT One at 5.45pm, while live coverage of D il ireann will continue on RT Two between 3.50pm and 7.00pm.

The Six One News will be extended until 7.30pm with a comprehensive look at the Budget, analysis from RT correspondents and early reaction from politicians and other groups. Later in the evening there will be also be an extended Nine O'Clock News.

Prime Time will feature a Budget Special at 9.40pm presented by Miriam O'Callaghan and David McCullagh. The programme will feature a debate between Minister for Finance Michael Noonan TD and Fianna Fail's Finance spokesman, Michael McGrath TD, along with reaction and contributions from other politicians, interest groups and members of the audience.

RT News Now will simulcast the budget coverage on RT One throughout the day as well as providing a concise, easy-to-view guide to the key political and economic decisions.

Radio

RT Radio 1's Budget 2014 coverage sees an extended Drivetime beginning at the earlier time of 2.30pm, as Minister for Finance Michael Noonan and Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform Brendan Howlin TD deliver their Budget speeches. Mary Wilson will be speaking to both Ministers after their speeches and the Drivetime panel will provide comment and analysis. Drivetime reporters Fergal Keane and Philip Boucher-Hayes will be reporting from the D il and the Government press conferences, while Brian Lally will be gauging the public's reaction on the ground around the country. Olivia O'Leary and Brian Dowling will also be on hand to offer political analysis.

On Wednesday morning at 10am Today with Sean O'Rourke will air a post-Budget special as Ministers Brendan Howlin TD and Michael Noonan TD join Sean O'Rouke in studio for a live phone-in. The public will get the opportunity to pose questions to both Ministers Michael Noonan and Brendan Howlin about how the budget affects them. Liveline will be reacting to Budget 2014 as Joe Duffy takes calls from members of the public in relation to how the Budget directly affects them on Wednesday afternoon. Listeners can contact Liveline at 1850 715 815.

RT Raidi na Gaeltachta will be broadcasting live from Leinster House from 3:45 pm on Tuesday, with comprehensive reporting and analysis of Budget 2014. A panel of speakers, chaired by Gormfhlaith N Thuairisg, will offer their analysis of the budget on the programme L na C inaisn ise. The panel will include Des Geraghty, former President of SIPTU, journalist ine N Chiar in, tax consultant Ciar n Feinneadha, and financial expert Conall M r in. Representatives of the country's various political parties will also present their opinions of the budget during the show, which runs until 6.00pm.

Online/Mobile

RT .ie will provide comprehensive online coverage and analysis including full Budget detail and reaction. RT 's news tracker will chart each development on this key day for every Irish household and business.
