Lawo expands Nor American Operations

Appoints Don Bird, VP Business Development and Marketing, and Damian Fink, Product Support Manager Lawo North America Corporation is pleased to announce the appointment of two new personnel: Don Bird, VP Business Development and Marketing, and Damian Fink, Product Support Manager. Based out of San Francisco and Los Angeles respectively, both Bird and Fink will work closely with one another to provide sales and product support, particularly on the west coast where Lawo recently added a number of new installations. In addition, they will provide expanded resources for Lawo's marketing and distribution channels throughout North America.

Don Bird brings a wealth of industry experience to his new role with Lawo North America. Among his many credentials, his background includes serving as Chief Marketing Officer for Wohler Technologies Inc., where he was responsible for sales, marketing, and product line management; Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy for DTS Digital Cinema, and Vice President, Sales and Marketing for 360 Systems, where he was instrumental in the development and launch of the ubiquitous DigiCart and Instant Replay .

Lawo has long been recognized as a leader in engineering excellence and innovation, states Bird. With flexible product architectures and a willingness to act as a strategic partner and advocate for customers, it is no surprise Lawo is gaining broad acceptance in the North American market. In his new role as Product Support Manager throughout the U.S. western region, Damian Fink will be focused on project realization, product support, training, and product demonstration. Damian has extensive experience in audio console technology, having previously worked with Studer, and as a recording products specialist with NEP/Sweetwater, most recently in the capacity of Technical Audio Engineer, supporting production of a popular Los Angeles-based late night talk show.

Fink commented on his new role with Lawo North America, Lawo has a highly respected position among the nation's top broadcasters and post production facilities and the company's breadth of product is truly impressive.
