PESA Expands Relationship with Cobalt Digital at BIRTV 06

Huntsville, Alabama - Aug. 17, 2016 - PESA, a leading designer and manufacturer of streaming solutions as well as professional audio and video distribution products, will expand its global strategic partnership with Cobalt Digital, a leader in terminal and convergence technology, during the BIRTV 2016 international broadcast show (Booth 8A35), which runs Aug. 24-27 at the China International Exhibition Center in Beijing. During the show, PESA will demonstrate how complementary technologies from both companies can be bundled to create best-of-breed solutions for customers.

The companies have integrated Cobalt's BBG-1070 multi-viewer with PESA's Cheetah and Cougar digital video routing switchers, with all information and parameters displayed on PESA's Windows -based Cattrax control software. The system delivers an expandable package with plug-and-play functionality, as well as routing and monitor display.

Cobalt's multi-viewer technology is also available as part of the PESA Blade System (PBS). Housed in the 2 RU openGear chassis and managed by PESA's Cattrax control software, the PBS holds up to 10 cards, including its own dual-channel H.264 encoding and decoding cards for streaming video and Cobalt's 9970-QS multi-viewer card. The PBS works in conjunction with the Cheetah product line to create the Cheetah Flex IP integrated routing environment, which seamlessly integrates baseband and IP-based infrastructures and is considered the cornerstone of PESA's integrated AV solutions.
