CHICAGO - May 5, 2015 - INTX Booth 1414 - Edgeware, the leader in video delivery networks, today announced that TVI (Televisi n Internacional, S.A. de C.V), part of Multimedios and Televisa Group, the largest cable operator in Latin America, has chosen Edgeware's VCP Edge solution, as part of Edgeware's next-generation Video Consolidation Platform (VCP), to roll out a new network-based catch-up TV and cloud DVR service. Edgeware's VCP Edge solution enables Multimedios to deliver these new compelling services, along with its existing video on demand (VOD) offering, from one unified delivery platform to all devices.

With more than 80 percent of consumers in Mexico watching video content online, over-the-top (OTT) video services are increasingly competing with cable and telecom operators' own offerings. Service providers are challenged to add new advanced services to both existing set-top boxes (STBs) and new multiscreen devices. Multimedios faced this challenge and its current infrastructure was not capable.
