Viacom taps Wochit for social video

Wochit will be implemented across Southern and Western Europe

Cloud-based video creation platform Wochit has been selected by Viacom International Media Networks to power its social video strategy across eight markets.

The platform will be implemented in Southern and Western Europe, Middle East and Africa.

The two companies say the deal will give VIMNs brands and editorial teams greater ability to rapidly produce engaging content optimised for distribution on social and owned-and-operated properties.

Teams from all of the Viacom properties such as MTV, Nickelodeon and Comedy Central will be able to share, view and edit content created by journalists and video teams in any part of the network, all from a single dashboard.

Wochit says the platform also supports automatic rebranding of videos, which "further speeds production, and offers greater insight into performance through real-time monitoring capabilities and rich data reporting."
