IHSE Launches XV, eXtreme Velocity, KVM Extenders and G Matrix Switches

(01/02/2015) At ISE2015 IHSE announces the release of new high speed models in the Draco tera compact KVM matrix switch series. The expanded bandwidth enables real-time switching of vast amounts of data including 4K video at optimum image quality

IHSE is a world-leading manufacturer of advanced Keyboard Video Mouse (KVM) products for the switching and extension of computer signals. Matrix switches enable switching between various computers and remote consoles comprising keyboard, pointing devices, monitor and other peripheral devices.

IHSE's recently-released 4K extenders have shown the way ahead. This technology has now been applied to the Draco tera compact series KVM switches. New high speed versions are available in all existing sizes (8, 16, 32, 48, 64 and 80 ports) and can meet the highest performance demands. The higher 3G bandwidth enables enormous transfer speeds, allowing seamless switching and real-time distribution of high resolution signals.

Data transmission via fiber optic cable allows transfer distances of up to 10 kilometers on either side of the matrix, which is ideal for interconnection between buildings. Computers can quickly be accessed from any position.

The high bandwidth requirements of HD and the newer 4K (UHD) video resolutions make it increasingly more difficult to transmit and switch images in large, widespread network systems.

To provide the highest possible image quality, IHSE has introduced the Fiber XV (eXtreme Velocity) range of extender units that enables the transmission and switching of DVI Dual Link or DisplayPort video, keyboard and mouse signals, together with USB-HID, USB 2.0 and 3.0 data. The extender units are compatible with Draco tera enterprise switches, allowing networks to be created of up to 288 ports, and larger.

With an accelerated data transmission of 3G, Draco tera-based switching networks with Fiber XV extenders meet the highest requirements of real-time video signal transmission at resolutions of 4K and above. Both single-head and dual-head monitors can be supported.

Enno Littmann, managing director of IHSE says: In many applications, for example in high-end interactive AV, broadcast, air traffic control and medical high resolution imaging, the pictures presented must be pixel accurate, even at the very high video resolutions in use today.
