Strong north-westerly winds are expected in places over the southern and central interior of the Northern Cape, the interior of the Eastern Cape as well as the north eastern parts of the Western Cape on Sunday.

Weather forecast and UV index for all provincesGauteng: Fine and warm

UVB sunburn index: High.

Mpumalanga: Fine and cool to warm.

Limpopo: Fine and warm

North-West Province: Fine and warm.

Free State: Fine and warm, but cool along Lesotho borders.

Northern Cape: Cloudy and cool in the west with morning fog patches at first, otherwise fine and warm. The wind along the coast will be light northerly to north-easterly becoming southerly to south-easterly in the afternoon.

Western Cape: Cloudy and cool in the west becoming fine in the afternoon, otherwise fine and warm, but partly cloudy along the south coast in the morning. The wind along the coast will be light westerly to south-westerly along the south coast in the morning, otherwise moderate to fresh northerly to north-westerly. It will become light south-westerly along the west coast north of Cape Columbine from the afternoon.

UVB index: Moderate.

Western half of the Eastern Cape: Cloudy with mist in places in the south at first, otherwise fine and warm, but partly cloudy with isolated showers along the escarpment in the early morning. The wind along the coast will be Light to moderate south westerly, becoming fresh in places in the afternoon. It will become light to moderate north westerly in the evening.

Eastern half of the Eastern Cape: Partly cloudy with showers along the escarpment at first, otherwise fine and warm, but cool in places in the north. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate north easterly, becoming light to moderate south westerly south of Kei Mouth from the afternoon.

KwaZulu-Natal: Partly cloudy in the morning, otherwise fine and warm, but cool in the south-west. The wind along the coast will be Moderate north-easterly.

UVB index: Moderate.
