The connected TV, a new horizon for animation and video games 3D Wire, the festival and market animation, video games and new media will discuss how animation and video games have on connected TV a new way of distributing their content.
3D Wire, the festival and market animation, video games and new media being held in Segovia from 4 to 10 November, will feature the collaboration of Spanish Radio and Television for the day dedicated to the connected TV.
The connected TV, also called hybrid, unites the best of traditional TV with the best of the Internet and offers the user a new personalized consumer experience and active participation in numerous television programs, among other features. It is also a new way of business sectors such as animation and video games. 3D Wire is so close to one of the trends with further within the audiovisual sector.
Last September RTVE launched what has called red button, with over 90,000 hours of programming available to eat la carte, plus news and sports results, the programming of Clan and the breaking information so that the user can access on your TV from the red button of the remote control distance and without having to resort to other devicessuch as a personal computer or a tablet. The entire experience is concentrated on the TV. To enjoy this service it is necessary to have a TV with access to DTT hybrid or HbbTV, the technology standard that Europe has agreed to such emissions.
Animation and video games have a new way of distributing their content in the connected TV. Although it is still experimental and emerging market, the reception by users is being more than positive and forecasts sales of televisions connected all over the world are 500 million by 2015. Without a doubt, the connected Television has come to stay.
The Conference, which will be held on Friday, November 8 from 9: 30 hours in the Palace of Quintanar, will count with the presence of Francisco Asensi, director of RTVE interactive business development; Pablo Romero, director of contents of Canal Yomvi; Xavier Red n, director of marketing for Abertis; and Jos Luis V zquez, CEO of mirada plc and Chairman of AEDETI, Spanish Association of Interactive Television companies. The four will discuss the virtues and the possibilities of this new form of interactive and personalized access to the audiovisual entertainment.
Transmedia storytelling
Forms of consumption of audiovisual content have changed definitively in recent years, and with it the way in which stories are presented to the user. For this reason, 3D Wire opens the door to transmedia storytelling, that which travels through multiple platforms and invites the user to participate in an active and close manner. The talk entitled Transmedia, what? Do we really know what means? Cases, trends and examples is coordinated by Javier R denas, CEO of The Mad Media Company, company specialized in the multiplatform narrative, in new forms of distribution and new technologies such as augmented reality, social networks, etc. and have V ctor L pez, CEO of Vodka Capital, which will be in Segovia on the morning of November 8 Friday to talk about their experience with Bugstedthe first project transmedia company, with television series, video games and collectible figures, among other formats.
These are only two touches of the extensive programming to 3D Wire has prepared for its fifth edition, which already has open time of accreditations for all those interested in attending and workshops aimed at animators and video game developers.
