Actor Jeremy Irvine joins tve s board of trustees

Friday 5 February 2016: British film star Jeremy Irvine has joined the board of the global media charity tve. Acclaimed for his debut role in Steven Spielberg's War Horse', Jeremy has starred alongside Nicole Kidman and Colin Firth in The Railway Man', Helena Bonham Carter in Great Expectations', and Michael Douglas in Beyond the Reach'. Most recently he played Danny Winters in Roland Emmerich's controversial Stonewall'.

I believe in good documentary filmmaking,' said Jeremy on becoming a trustee of the 32-year-old charity, founded to spark debate on the environment and development. Not only does tve make powerful documentaries, but it involves others from creative young people to innovative corporations in making their own films about the key issues of our time. The more I've got to know tve, the keener I've been to get involved. My involvement in tve s Global Sustainability Film Awards has shown me just what film can begin to achieve in tilting the planet towards sustainability.'
