Astro GO is running a contest from 6 April to 17 May to encourage more Astro customers to download the app. Currently monthly active users (MAU) for Astro GO has grown to more than 1.38 Million in the last month, with the spike in its usage driven by the complimentary viewing during the Movement Control Order (MCO).

In addition, Astro GO also observed a 37% higher engagement rate for customers streaming on demand content via Astro GO during the MCO period. With over 50,000 on demands videos, customers can keep themselves entertained while catching up on the latest series, or indulging in movie marathons.

With the multi-screen feature on Astro GO, customers can easily link their account to four concurrent devices, so everyone can stream their favourite shows on their personal screen without fighting over the remote.

During the MCO, all Malaysians are able to access Astro GO for free and enjoy 22 complimentary channels till 28 April. The complimentary viewing for Astro GO has been well received with over 148,000 new registrations.
