NBCUniveral has confirmed plans to launch an international news service that will use resources from both NBC News and Sky News.
The possibility of an international joint venture was originally touted by Brian Roberts, chairman and CEO of parent company Comcast, in April 2019.
During NBCUniversal's investor presentation to launch its new streaming service Peacock, it revealed the planned news channel will be available on its streaming service, and is also expected to be available as a linear channel.
Further details, including name and launch date, are expected to be announced in the coming weeks. Peacock initially launches in the US on 15th April, with a wider roll out due in July.
