Barco scores in the sector top 12% on Vigeo Eiris ESG rating Kortrijk, Belgium, 28 April 2021 - Barco, a world leader in visualization and collaboration solutions, is proud to announce that rating and research agency Vigeo Eiris has given the company a score of 55. In this way, Barco ranks in the robust' area, as one of the top 12 percent performing companies in its industry. This rating again confirms our commitment and solid roadmap towards sustainable and responsible business.

Vigeo Eiris is a rating and research agency that evaluates organization's integration of social, environmental and governance (ESG) factors into their strategies, operations and management. Their focus is on promoting responsible investment and sustainable value creation.

The rating of Barco confirms previous ratings and a consistently solid performance. Last month, we were proud to receive a AA rating for MSCI. Also for Ecovadis Barco recently received a Gold rating again a similar result as last year. We are now in the top 5% of Ecovadis respondents.

Barco's formal sustainability ambitions for 2023 are:

Reduce the carbon footprint of our own operations by 35% (baseline 2015)

Reduce the energy footprint of our products by 25% (baseline 2015)

Ensure that at least 70% of our revenues comes from products with the Barco ECO label

Our solid roadmap on sustainability was also externally confirmed by the approval of our carbon reduction target by the Science Based Targets initiative earlier this year.

Summarizing the last results of our external evaluations:

CDP, formerly known as the Carbon Disclosure Project, runs the global disclosure system that enables companies, states, cities and regions to measure and manage their environmental impacts. By scoring businesses from A to D, they take organizations on a journey from disclosure to awareness, management, and finally leadership, on several environmental topics such as climate change.

EcoVadis is a trusted collaborative platform that assesses companies' commitment to sustainable business. It is mainly requested by companies that want to perform an evidence-based evaluation of key partners in the areas of human rights, labor practices, fair business, environmental stewardship and responsible purchasing.

ISS ESG is one of the world's leading rating agencies for sustainable investments. The ISS ESG rating considers Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) aspects by evaluating more than 100 industry-specific indicators with grades from A+ (best grade) to D-. Companies that achieve the best ESG scores among their sector peers, are recognized as Prime .
