WRAL-TV is once again collecting warm winter clothing, money and new toys for Salvation Army families in need through Coats For The Children, one of WRALs signature community events. Now through Dec. 31, WRAL invites the public to donate new or gently used coats and new toys at neighborhood Jiffy Lube locations.
Every year, our community steps up to support our neighbors in need, said WRAL-TV Local Production Manager Don Ursich. Many local groups, businesses and individuals reach out to be a part of this important campaign. Just like last year, we are not going to let the pandemic and slow us down. In place of the traditional phone bank style telethon, we have adapted and shifted to a day of giving and are asking the community to donate winter clothing or give any amount online.
On Friday, December 10, join WRAL for our Day of Giving to raise money and support Salvation Army families in need. Watch our one-hour live special at 1pm and half-hour live special at 7:30pm for special appearances, musical performances and ways you can help share some warmth this winter.
