Design, installation and support services for London-based video production company

TSL Systems has provided a full live production facility for TipTV's new location in Victoria, London, including a 4-camera studio complete with audio mixing and the ability to stream live to the web.

TipTV (a subsidiary of Linear Investments) saw a large growth in its production requirements and needed a larger space and an upgraded system in which to handle the demands of its clients. The company is a web-based channel, providing its own content and offering white label services to publishers, with a portfolio including a diverse range of shows ranging from finance, politics and lifestyle to sport and gaming.

TSL provided TipTV with a brand new 4-camera robotic studio, complete with wireless microphone and studio foldback, routing capabilities, technical monitoring, a 24-fader audio mixing console and a Tricaster 8000 production switcher for direct streaming to the web. This was all housed in a brand new broadcast production desk.

TipTV gave me the challenge of delivering a professional HD studio, with room for expansion, within a moderate budget, explains Dave Treweek, project consultant. Several systems integrators pitched for the job but TSL came back with the most detailed quote at a competitive price and were a fantastic partner to work with. From initial meet to project completion, everything was accomplished in a fast, transparent manner - the finished project exceeded my expectations of what could be delivered within budget.

Having previously relied on free software and standard definition video equipment, TipTV can now boast one of the newest full-HD production facilities in the heart of London and has seen further interest from clients since the studio was completed. TipTV plan to expand even further in the near future, with a venture into radio next on their agenda.
