Dejero to Showcase Enhancements to its Versatile EnGo Mobile Transmitter at NAB Show

New vehicle mount option permits use of external antennas to boost RF performance

WATERLOO, Ontario - April 12, 2017 - Dejero, an innovator in cloud-managed solutions that simplify the transport of live video and real-time data across remote or mobile IP networks, is previewing the brand new EnGo Vehicle Mount Kit at the 2017 NAB show (Las Vegas Convention Centre, 24-27 April, booth C1307). The kit allows the LIVE+ EnGo mobile transmitter to be mounted inside newsgathering or production vehicles and connected to an array of roof-mounted high-gain antennas to enhance its RF performance while driving, or in locations where cellular connectivity may be challenging.

We've added even more versatility to the modular EnGo transmitter, something that will appeal to news and production crews that transmit from a vehicle and while on the go, said Bogdan Frusina, founder and CTO of Dejero. EnGo can now be used like a rack-mounted encoder/transmitter in a cellular, satellite or hybrid vehicle, and then can quickly be disconnected and placed in a backpack, a sling bag, or mounted directly on a camera to give crews maximum mobility when on the scene of breaking news and live events.

The ability to easily mount the EnGo in an SNG truck or a smaller newsgathering vehicle means organizations have less acquisition equipment to invest in and maintain. The compactness is particularly appealing to markets where news vehicles are getting smaller and stealthier. The EnGo vehicle mount kit can be ordered separately and is compatible with EnGo units already in the field.

Visitors to Dejero's newly located booth in the Central Hall at the NAB Show (C1307) can try out the new EnGo backpack which complements the company's existing EnGo sling bag. This extended offering enables operators to select the carrying option that best suits their personal preference. Also on show is a new three-modem version of the EnGo, aimed at supplementing high performance transmitters in locations with consistently reliable, high-bandwidth cellular connectivity.

Additional updates to EnGo will also be demoed at NAB. Users can now transfer video to a Dejero server while recording, upload clips at uncapped speeds to get footage back to the station as quickly as possible, and rename clips on the server to simplify the management of files. Visitors will also be able to learn about how the EnGo makes international travel easier with global roaming options and the convenient user-changeable SIM module.
