IBERMEDIA creates a new line of aid for the development of animation projectsEl Programa Ibermedia, en el que participa el Instituto de la Cinematograf a y las Artes Audiovisuales (ICAA), ha creado en la l nea de ayudas a desarrollo la reserva de un fondo m nimo de 200.000 d lares para financiar proyectos de animaci n. Cada proyecto seleccionado podr acceder a una ayuda financiera m xima de 30.000 d lares.
En una reuni n celebrada en el marco del Malaga Film Festival, Reuni n en el Festival Cine de M laga, el Programa Ibermedia, en el que participa el Instituto de la Cinematograf a y las Artes Audiovisuales (ICAA), con el que se apoya la formaci n, el desarrollo y la coproducci n del audiovisual iberoamericano, ha acordado incluir en 2019 el apoyo a proyectos de obras de animaci n. Para ello ha creado en la l nea de ayudas a desarrollo la reserva de un fondo m nimo de 200.000 d lares para financiar proyectos de animaci n. Cada proyecto seleccionado podr acceder a una ayuda financiera m xima de 30.000 d lares.
La nueva l nea de ayudas al desarrollo buscar maximizar las ayudas nacionales a los proyectos de animaci n e incentivar coproducciones de presupuestos m s ambiciosos, adem s del est mulo del uso de nuevas tecnolog as digitales.
Este nuevo apoyo es respuesta a la necesidad detectada de apoyar a los profesionales de un sector que goza de gran demanda en el nuevo panorama audiovisual a nivel mundial. Esta iniciativa ha sido consensuada con el sector de animaci n iberoamericano durante los Premios Quirino, celebrados en Tenerife a principios del presente mes de abril.
El Plenario de Ibermedia tambi n ha constatado la necesidad de apoyar los proyectos de futuras coproducciones de cine de animaci n y de adecuar las condiciones de las bases de ayudas a las singularidades del cine de animaci n, as como ponderar favorablemente los proyectos dirigidos a p blico infantil.
Para el director general del ICAA, scar Graefenhain, este apoyo de Ibermedia es un refuerzo importante para el sector de la animaci n iberoamericano. Quiero destacar que los proyectos de animaci n seleccionados por Ibermedia para sus ayudas, tambi n tienen m s peso en el baremo de ayudas del ICAA, por lo que entre todos estamos fomentando el apoyo a la animaci n. Este sector tiene muchas particularidades y es al mismo tiempo necesario, ya que la animaci n constituye el primer contacto de los m s j venes con el mundo del cine .
Esta apuesta de Ibermedia por el cine de animaci n familiar fomentar una mayor capacidad para generar historias locales que lleguen al mundo infantil de manera global, provenientes de la cultura iberoamericana.
20 a os de IbermediaEl Programa Ibermedia arranc en 1998 y ha lanzado desde entonces 26 convocatorias de coproducci n, que han permitido apoyar 787 proyectos, de los cuales 656 son t tulos ya estrenados, ha favorecido la exhibici n de 298 pel culas y la emisi n de 416 t tulos en las televisiones p blicas de Am rica Latina. Asimismo, ha otorgado 3.428 becas de formaci n en todos los pa ses de la comunidad iberoamericana.
En conjunto, se han invertido 93 millones de d lares en cine iberoamericano en todas las l neas de ayudas, lo que se traduce en 2.396 proyectos beneficiados gracias al Programa, m s de 1.600 pel culas estrenadas, con ayuda indirecta a 2.000 empresas y a m s de 10.000 profesionales de la producci n y la gesti n empresarial.
El ICAA ha aportado 38 millones de d lares, es decir, casi el 41% del total, lo que convierte a Espa a en el pa s que m s ha invertido en estos 20 a os del Programa.
