Schneider Electric Sets New Industry Standard with Enhanced Employee Benefits and Launches Nationwide Volunteering Day London, UK

New employee benefits include longer periods of fully paid maternity and paternity leave - exceeding legal requirements and industry standards
Schneider launches nationwide Volunteering Day on 14 July
London (UK) and Maynooth (Ireland), July 12, 2023 -Schneider Electric, the leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, has announced the implementation of new employee benefits which solidify its position as a progressive and people-first employer in the UK and Ireland.
Recognising the evolving needs of its employees and the importance of work-life balance, Schneider Electric has enhanced its family leave policy to provide comprehensive benefits that empower employees to prioritise their family and personal wellbeing without compromising their professional development.
Key highlights of the new policy include:
26 weeks Maternity, adoption and shared parental leave at full pay.
4 weeks for Paternity Leave and Adoption (for Secondary Carer) at full pay.
2 weeks for Carer Leave (Force Majeure & Urgent Short-Term Care Leave in Ireland) at full pay.
2 weeks for Bereavement Leave at full pay.
The changes came into effect for all employees - including people already taking leave covered by the policy - from July 1st.

We know that there is a skills gap in our industry. We're committed to investing in STEM careers through apprenticeships and initiatives like this one, which enable us to create a work place where people can grow and thrive, whatever their personal circumstances or stage in life.
The enhancement to Schneider Electric's employee benefits comes as the company prepares to hold its first Volunteering Day in the UK and Ireland, as part of its role as an Impact Company and its commitment to give back 5000 volunteering hours in 2023. All Schneider Electric employees - both office based and operational - have been given the opportunity to participate in the Volunteering Day, which will take place on 14 July and will see employees supporting projects on biodiversity and environmental improvements in their communities nationwide.
Just as we reward our employees for contributing to Schneider's successful business, we also welcome the opportunity to give back to the communities where we operate, added Kelly Becker. That's why our colleagues are coming together on 14 July to volunteer their time and make an immediate impact in their communities.

Kelly Becker
President, Schneider Electric UK and Ireland
Kelly has spent many years leading Schneider Electric's business across the globe and is currently responsible for all operations within the UK and Ireland. Most recently, Kelly has also held the role of Schneider Electric Country President, Ireland and Vice-President of the Power Solutions Division in the US. During her experience, Kelly has led many Schneider functions across the globe with a strong focus on strategy and business execution. During her time in the US, Kelly led strategy and business development for Schneider's $4B Partner Business with a focus on strategic growth and breakthrough initiatives, market and geographic expansions and internal start-ups. She has held previous roles with Danaher Corporation and TAC/Schneider Electric selling complex energy management infrastructure projects to K-12 Schools and Universities in Texas, Illinois and New Mexico. Kelly holds a Bachelor of Science degree in advertising and public relation from Texas Christian University and a masters degree in Business Administration from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. She currently serves on the Corporate Advisory Board for the Darden School of Business, is the Deputy Chair of the French Chamber of Great Britain and an Executive Director of British American Business.
