The United States Men's National Team, as well as multiple Spanish-speaking countries, made a deep run for the trophy at the 2022 FIFA Men's World Cup. From the first match to Argentina's claim for the ultimate prize, Telemundo Deportes kept their audience engaged with daily programming, including Copa Mundial de la FIFA Qatar 2022, from their studio set at the popular Souq Waqif in Doha. On Monday night, the network took home the 2023 Sports Emmy for Outstanding Studio Show in Spanish.

At the ceremony, Telemundo Deportes' Executive Vice President, Sports, Eli Velazquez, recounts the special meaning that the show had on not only his production and operations teams but the countless number of fans that tuned in throughout the tournament.
