The talented actress Motsoaledi Setumo discusses playing Sentebaleng in Netflix's romantic comedy film, A Soweto Love Story.

MOTSOALEDI SETUMO AS SENTEBALENG Setumo, who is stars in A Soweto Love Story tells Sowetan that her character, Sentebaleng is a career woman who has been in love for many years.

She adds that things seem to not be working out in her relationship due to social pressures of certain expectations she's set on her partner.

Sentebaleng knows how to set boundaries and doesn't take any nonsense from anyone. In the same breath, she knows how to own up when she's wrong, something I've learned from her. To put it simply, my girl just wants to be loved.

Setumo adds that this was her very first project that she did with Netflix. She can safely call this her great comeback as this movie aired in 190 countries globally.

Surgezinc reports that the film also features The River star Lunga Shabalala, The Estate star Sparky Xulu, 7de Laan star Ray Neo Buso, who portrays brothers.

BACKGROUND OF A SOWETO LOVE STORY' The Ngubeni matriarch Bongekile (Duduzile Ngcobo) will challenge her three unmarried sons to get married by the New Year if they want to inherit the family home.

Her sons played by Shabalala, Xulu and Buso must navigate the unpredictable landscape of the dating world as they race against time to find brides.

When her three grown sons show no signs of settling down and starting their own families, a mother uses the coveted family home to entice them into doing the right thing - the first to get married before the New Year wins the home, reads the synopsis of the film.

The romantic comedy film, A Soweto Love Story premiered on Netflix on Valentines Day, 14 February 2024.
