Next Version of iStopMotion to Support Canon DSLR Live View - Beta Test Now Open

Boinx Software invites all animation experts and hobbyists alike to beta test the brand new DSLR live view feature in iStopMotion for the Mac. The beta version of iStopMotion supports live view with Canon DSLR cameras, including the Canon EOS 40D, 60D, 60Da, Rebel XSi (aka the 450D in Europe / Kiss X2 in Japan), Rebel T2i (aka 550D / Kiss X4), and Rebel T5i (aka 700D / Kiss X7i). In the past, when you wanted to use iStopMotion with a Canon DSLR camera, you had to do without the greatest feature of iStopMotion - the live preview with the semi-transparent onion skinning effect that allows you to see your next shot and make adjustments before capturing the frame.

This beta version is only available in English. Boinx encourages all beta testers to use the built-in feedback assistant to report Canon DSLR models that do not work with the live-view function, as well as provide any additional feedback on areas for improvement. Recent Updates to iStopMotion v3.2

iStopMotion for the Mac was recently updated to include support for animated GIF export. In iStopMotion 3.2 for Mac, animators can save any sequence of up to 200 frames as an animated GIF right to their hard drive.
