SAFTA award-winning actress Nomvelo Makhanya, who played Lindiwe Ngema in Scandal! reveals she's ready to focus on singing after signing with DJ Black Coffee's talent management company Soulistic Agency.

FORMER SCANDAL' STAR SIGNS WITH DJ BLACK COFFEE'S AGENCY News24 reports that the former Scandal! actress turned musician Nomvelo Makhanya earlier in the year signed with talent management, event curators, and management company Soulistic Agency, which is owned by award-winning DJ Black Coffee.

It felt like it was aligning with everything I love and everything I wanted to do, she said. I feel like we're going to grow the brand, and I can't wait to share that with you guys, said Makhanya.

I want to venture into singing; that's one of my biggest passions, so I really want to start my music career, she said. I've been in and out of the studio, so that has been a very exciting experience.

City Press reveals that the agency represents the DJ who reportedly brings in millions of rands annually from his international bookings. Black Coffee's son Esona Maphumulo is reportedly also signed under the agency that also represents the former Scandal! Actress.

IHarare reported that Makhanya has been spending time in the studio, which suggests that the 26-year-old actress may be working on her first single or album.

Makhanya also told News24 that she intends to enhance her cooking skills and eventually start her own business.

She told Daily Sun that it still feels surreal and exciting that she won the award. But it was a very exciting time and a very validating moment for her.

Makhanya also told News24 she gets mixed emotions about winning her first SAFTA.

Every time I think about it, I get mixed emotions because it validated me and everyone who has a dream.

It validated the decisions that were made, that I'm on the right track, and everything is happening because it's meant to happen.

The film follows a special crimes investigator who forms an unlikely bond with a serial killer to bring down a global child sex trafficking syndicate.
