Media Links Exhibits at Virtual Broadcast Asia 2020

100G to the Edge

New for 2020 is Media Links' new generation 100G edition of its proven & trusted MD8000 IP transport platform. The integrated 100Gb/s Switch and Network Interface Controller within the MD8000-100G offers a 10x bandwidth increase from 10Gb/s to 100Gb/s, which allows broadcasters and network providers across the globe to transport more media channels than ever before. The MD8000-100G also addresses the ever increasing need for more and more bandwidth at the network edge.

JPEG-XS Standards Support

Also new for 2020, Media Links' MDP3020 IP Media Gateway now includes support for JPEG-XS compression. JPEG-XS achieves high quality compression ratios of up to 10:1 and beyond making it ideal for the edge of the IP network where bandwidth is typically quite limited and where the transport of uncompressed high quality video is just not feasible.

Enhanced Management Software

Version 2 of the ProMD EMS Enhanced Management Software provides a new more contemporary graphical user interface with user customizable themes and styles, intuitively designed to configure, provision, manage, and troubleshoot IP media networks.
