Media Links, manufacturer and pioneer in Media over IP transport technology, announces that it will be exhibiting at the upcoming Broadcast Asia Virtual Event Experience, which is part of ConnecTech Asia, Asia s leading Media & Tech Exhibition. Typically hosted annually in Singapore, ConnecTech Asia has gone digital this year providing a platform for exhibitors and visitors to engage and network.
Through a series of presentations and videos, Media Links will showcase its MD Series Ecosystem portfolio, which includes the MD8000 Media over IP Transport platform, the MDX 100G IP Switches, the MDP3000 IP Media Gateways, as well as the new version of ProMD Enhanced Management Software.
100G to the Edge
New for 2020 is Media Links' new generation 100G edition of its proven & trusted MD8000 IP transport platform. The integrated 100Gb/s Switch and Network Interface Controller within the MD8000-100G offers a 10x bandwidth increase from 10Gb/s to 100Gb/s, which allows broadcasters and network providers across the globe to transport more media channels than ever before. The MD8000-100G also addresses the ever increasing need for more and more bandwidth at the network edge.
JPEG-XS Standards Support
Also new for 2020, Media Links' MDP3020 IP Media Gateway now includes support for JPEG-XS compression. JPEG-XS achieves high quality compression ratios of up to 10:1 and beyond making it ideal for the edge of the IP network where bandwidth is typically quite limited and where the transport of uncompressed high quality video is just not feasible.
Enhanced Management Software
Version 2 of the ProMD EMS Enhanced Management Software provides a new more contemporary graphical user interface with user customizable themes and styles, intuitively designed to configure, provision, manage, and troubleshoot IP media networks.
