Versa Studios, which has facilities in London and Manchester, has announced a number of new appointments.

The company's recently opened Manchester studio has welcomed Edward Harvey, former head of studios management for The London Studios, as studios and strategy manager, focused on operations in Manchester but also working across the wider group.

He will be working with Carrie Reynolds who has joined as operations manager, having formerly run BBC studios in Glasgow and ITV Daytime in London.

Carrie Reynolds and Edward Harvey, at Versa Manchester Studios As well as operating the Versa ABC Skyline Studio (currently in use by the BBC's Morning Live), the company has also taken over operation of the famous Manchester Studios complex.

The refurbishment of the former Manchester Studios will result in a state-of-the-art TV broadcast facility in the city centre opening in summer 2023, said the company. The complex will operate over 12 studios in all, as well as a purpose-built motion capture facility and music recording studio, both in partnership with leading industry third parties.

Versa's London studios opened in November 2021, with sales and outreach led by Kathy Schulz as strategy and business development advisor, who was previously MD of ITV's The London Studios (TLS). Ginge Ames (previously of TLS and Riverside Studios) is head of operations.
