The Golden Trailer Awards, the entertainment industry's best and most fun-filled celebration devoted to honoring the most outstanding achievements in motion picture marketing, has announced its call for entries for its 16th annual awards competition taking place on May 6, 2015 at the Saban Theater in Beverly Hills, CA.
Last year's Golden Trailer Awards was our biggest year ever in terms of submissions and show attendance and we hope that trend continues. The theatrical trailer makes or breaks a film campaign and it's still the #1 way that moviegoers discover and decide on what films they plan to support, said Evelyn Watters, Co- Founder and Executive Director of the Golden Trailer Awards. In the past year, we saw some daring, diverse and truly exceptional trailers and we look forward to receiving submissions for our 16th annual competition and awards show.
The Golden Trailer Awards are presented to nominees in 82 diverse categories that range from serious to lighthearted, including Best Summer Blockbuster Trail- er Award, Trashiest Trailer, Best Action Trailer and the most popular of them all, the Golden Fleece Award which goes to the best trailer for a film where the mar- keting was considered better than the film itself.
There are seven new categories for 2015, including:
Best Trailer for a TV Mini-series, Best Teaser, Best Fantasy Adventure TV Spot! Best Original Score TV Spot, Best Billboard, Best Fantasy/Adventure Poster and Best Independent Vine.

ABOUT THE GOLDEN TRAILER AWARDS!
Movie trailers play an increasingly important role in entertaining us and helping us determine where to spend our leisure time. The best trailers are works of art in their own right, expertly blending elements of cinema and advertising.
Each year through an open competition judged by film industry notables, the Golden Trailer Awards recognize the creative people who make movie trailers, and the best examples of their unique art, in a gala award show.
The Golden Trailer Awards is the awards show devoted to feature film previews. Since moviegoers consistently rate movie trailers as the most entertaining part of the theater experience, the Golden Trailer Awards celebrates the craftsmanship and allure of these potent mini-epics with a fast-paced show whose frenetic and sometimes irreverent style is perfect for the post-MTV era.
Taking only 90 minutes to roll through 16 categories ranging from Best Drama to the Golden Fleece, the Golden Trailer Awards is as diverse and exciting as the art form to which it pays homage.
The Golden Trailer Awards were co-founded by Evelyn Watters and Monica Brady in 1999.
