NeuLion powered live and on-demand streaming of the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup matches for Univision Deportes, the sports division of Univision Communications Inc.
Univision Deportes has previously partnered with NeuLion to deliver major international sporting events to millions of viewers across multiple devices. Leveraging the NeuLion Digital Platform, Univision Deportes lets subscribers watch a live stream of each Gold Cup match on mobile phones, tablets and desktop, and enjoy match commentary, in-match delivered highlight clips, live stats and social media integration throughout the tournament (July 7-27). Univision Deportes users can create a personalized experience not available on TV when they complete their fan profile by selecting favorite teams, players and games.
NeuLion makes it possible for us to offer soccer fans live streaming access to the Gold Cup on any device, said Juan Carlos Rodriguez, president of Univision Deportes. Not only are we delivering a personalized experience for all of our fans, but we are also doing dynamic ad insertion into the live streams on mobile devices for the first time.
Under a multi-year partnership agreement, the NeuLion Digital Platform powers the complete Univision Deportes TV Everywhere experience-from content ingestion, preparation and management to monetization, authentication and secure delivery across more than 400 device models. By offering subscribers an enhanced, over-the-top authenticated service with their Pay TV subscription, the Univision Deportes digital experience drives distribution of Univision's portfolio and adds valuable revenue with pre and mid-roll in-app advertising.
