ZEISS, an international leader in the fields of optics and optoelectronics, announced today they will be demonstrating the ZEISS VR ONE Virtual Reality (VR) / Augmented Reality (AR) wireless smartphone headset at the upcoming Showstoppers / CE Week Conference and Expo, (#133) in the Altman Building at the Metropolitan Pavilion, 125 W. 18th St. NY, NY, June 24-25, 2015.
The VR ONE utilizes ZEISS innovative optical design producing clear, sharp picture quality from image center to edge delivering an outstanding VR experience. Smartphone-specific trays for devices from 4.7 to 5.2 guarantee optimal screen positioning when inserted into the ZEISS VR ONE to display a detailed, vibrant image with approximately a 100-degree field-of-view. The ZEISS VR ONE accelerated head-tracking takes full advantage of the smartphone's built-in accelerometer to smoothly change point-of-view within the VR environment as a wearer's head is moved.
At CE Week the ZEISS VR ONE will be demonstrated along with an exciting, fast growing catalog of Android and iOS apps available on Google Play and iTunes, plus an eco-system of VR ONE compatible "Internet of Things" devices that showcase a wide range of exciting and entertaining VR capabilities.
Kai Aras - Sumo FPV App: The ZEISS VR ONE user gets a pilots-eye, first-person-view to drive and turn the Parrot Sumo Minidrone controlled by VR ONE head-tracking.
NOD Labs - NOD Rings: Precise 3D motion tracking and gesture control combines with the ZEISS VR ONE to give users immersive wireless, interactivity with games and other VR or AR environments.
IC Real Tech - Allie 360 x 360 Cameras: With only two high-resolution image sensors and lenses, Allie portable cameras capture immersive, full-spherical VR video that can be live-streamed, cloud-stored and shared on YouTubes new 360 VR video channel.
During CE Week, the VR ONE will also be demonstrated in the B&H Pavilion (# 63 - 66). Dave Hodgson of ZEISS Multimedia Devices will be participating in a General Sessions panel discussion called "The Reality of Augmented and Virtual Realities" at 9:45-10:30am on the second floor of the Metropolitan Pavilion.
