Qvest has announced rt1.tv has deployed its solutions for a headquarters modernisation.
Following an upgrade of its Berlin production studios last year, rt1.tv has undertaken a modernisation programme at its Augsburg headquarters, aimed at increasing efficiency in its content creation and editing, said Qvest.
Aiming to enhance and future-proof facilities, Qvest has integrated the Avid MediaCentral Cloud UX (MMCUX), providing numerous options for secure and efficient realisation and management of productions, said the company. A range of modules can be integrated into the interface enabling the expansion of workflows, such as allowing content stored on the Interplay to be directly used without the need to save it multiple times. Rough cuts and shot lists can be created in advance without blocking the Media Composer.
Qvest has also integrated Woody (IN2IT) as a central ingest point for importing content into a cloud or server-based system. This ensures content is provided in the Avid environment in predefined codecs and resolutions, searchable with metadata. Users can now view raw material, set markers and create raw sequences or view existing, simple sequences, eliminating the need to access data via the Media Composer. Functions are made available remotely via VPN access. Additionally, a NEXIS storage system has been implemented.
Sebastian Wutschik, managing director of rt1.tv, said: With the increased efficiency and flexibility of our Avid structure, we are sustainably optimising our production environment and creating new, comprehensive added value for our customers. The upgrades in post-production, in the storage system and the creation of new media workflows are an important prerequisite for being able to scale our processes even more easily in the future. The future-proof networking of the two locations in Augsburg and Berlin will enable our employees to work collaboratively on a shared platform, regardless of location.
