Chyron Releases PAINT 10.4 with Pro Football Data Integration and AI Player Cutout

Chyron has announced PAINT 10.4, an update to its illustrated replay and sports analysis platform adding pro football data integration, an AI-enhanced Player Cutout feature, runtime chroma key mode switching, and Formation Tool coordinate output for external system connectivity.

PAINT 10.4 is about making data-driven storytelling faster and more practical for live production, says Andreas Olsson, Product Manager for PAINT, Chyron. With integrated pro football data available within just a few clicks, broadcasters can quickly access the information they need and turn it into clear, compelling analysis on air.

Pro Football Data Integration

PAINT 10.4 syncs video and player metrics through timecode on saved clips, giving operators per-play access to player-specific data including separation, air yards, time to throw, yards after catch, yards after contact, rushing data, and expected player metrics. An automatic game selection list surfaces games happening that day and over the next five days. Graphics can be styled through VaultSync, which pulls team colors and logos from the cloud.

AI Player Cutout

An updated AI-assisted player isolation workflow identifies players in crowded scenes, including partially obscured players, providing a faster starting point for player-focused storytelling.

Runtime Chroma Key Mode Switching

Operators can now switch between automatic and manual chroma key modes within the existing Chroma Key editor during production without restarting PAINT.

Formation Tool Coordinate Output

Formation Tool coordinate output is now part of a released workflow, enabling connection of PAINT tactical analysis to external systems such as VSAR for augmented reality and virtual set pipelines.
