The new multiplex Cinemas Procinal of Colombia located at Mayorca commercial center of the city of Medellin has adopted series DLP Cinema Projectors Christie Solaria. El complejo tiene nueve salas, una de las cuales, equipada con un Christie CP4230, cuenta con el primer sistema de sonido inmersivo Dolby Atmos del pa s.
La instalaci n fue realizada por CE+S (Cinema Equipment & Supplies). Cinemas Procinal tiene en la actualidad 26 multiplex en Colombia con 134 salas y una capacidad total de 20.440 butacas, siendo el mayor exhibidor de Medell n. En 2015, la compa a tuvo 2.400.000 espectadores y espera llegar a los tres millones en 2016.
La sala estrella de este nuevo complejo lleva el nombre de Supernova. Se trata de una sala PLF (Premium Large Format) que cuenta con el primer Dolby Atmos de Colombia y una pantalla tipo silver de 8,90 metros de alto por 15,80 metros de ancho (casi 150 metros cuadrados). Para iluminar semejante pantalla se utiliza un proyector Christie CP4230 de resoluci n 4K y 34.000 l menes de brillo, alimentado por un servidor Doremi IMS1000. La sala tiene capacidad para 300 personas y est preparada para 3D con el sistema RealD.
El resto de salas del nuevo complejo abarca una variedad de formatos, como la Sala Cine Arte, que proyecta cine independiente, la Sala VIP Black Star, que ofrece c modas butacas reclinables, o la Sala 4DX, que incorpora diversas innovaciones como movimiento y vibraci n de las butacas, efectos de rel mpagos, olores, humo
Cuota del 50%
Esta no es ni mucho menos la primera experiencia de Cinemas Procinal con equipos de Christie. De hecho, la compa a tiene el 50% de sus pantallas con proyectores de la marca.
Juan Carlos Mayungo, director administrativo y financiero de Cinemas Procinal, asegura que los proyectores Christie nos ofrecen un gran rendimiento, calidad y luminosidad, as como una operatividad simple y amigable para los proyeccionistas. Adem s, Christie ha mostrado un buen respaldo en el soporte posventa, y el hecho de que montaran una oficina en Colombia nos acerca m s a la marca .
Tal es as que Cinemas Procinal acaba de comprar cinco nuevos proyectores de la Serie Christie Solaria para su nuevo multiplex en el Centro Comercial Aventura de Medell n que abrir en julio de 2016. La compa a tambi n est valorando adquirir la innovadora soluci n de sonido cinematogr fico Christie Vive Audio para el centro comercial Viva La Ceja (departamento de Antioquia) que est previsto que se inaugure en el tercer trimestre de 2016.
