G Digital Adds Julie Currin to Lead Busine Development

Digital supply chain specialist 2G Digital has hired veteran post production executive Julie Currin as Vice President of Business Development. Currin brings more than 15 years of experience in film and television post production, including senior sales and marketing posts with Deluxe, Prime Focus and Laser Pacific Media. In her new role, she will develop new markets for 2G Digital's services and promote new lines of business.

Currin's arrival is part of a broader expansion effort and follows 2G's recent launch of operations in New York through a strategic partnership with the post production facility DuArt. This is a very exciting time for 2G Digital, said Stephen Buchsbaum, the company's Chief Operating Officer. Julie will help us take advantage of some of the new opportunities resulting from our recent expansion to the New York market and our growth in Burbank. She is a true professional with the experience and customer relationship skills to meet our clients' needs.

Currin will focus, in part, on independent producers and others seeking fast and cost-effective means to encode and deliver content to iTunes, Google/YouTube, Amazon, Netflix and other media outlets. As an independent company, 2G is nimble and can respond to changing technology and evolving markets very quickly, she said. With bases on both coasts, we can help content owners manage today's complex distribution workflows simply and efficiently.

Most recently, Currin served as executive producer at Siren Digital, a full-service post production facility, and Relevant VFX, an independent visual effects producer. Prior to that, she was vice president of business development at Speedshape, a visual effects house focused on commercials and features.

Beginning in 2010, Currin served as vice president of sales/motion picture post production at Deluxe where she marketed digital intermediate, dailies processing and other post services. At Prime Focus, she was vice president of operations and senior vice president of sales/post productions, for an operation servicing both television and motion picture clients.
