09 Kindergartens in Yinzhou: No Closing in Summer Vacation

109 kindergartens in Yinzhou District will stay open during this summer vacation, most of which locate in subdistricts of towns and suburbs, helping take care of tens of thousands of left-behind children in rural areas and children of migrant workers during the vacation.

Classes of kindergartens in rural areas are mostly constituted by migrant workers' children or left-behind children in local areas. Generally speaking, their parents have no time taking care of them during summer vacation. said by a principal of preschool education department from Yinzhou Education Bureau, kindergartens take in 14,000 kids this summer, 90 per cent of whom are children of migrant labors.

Luyin Kindergarten in Hengjie Town is a provincial key kindergarten, which has 5 classes in summer vacation, making up by 123 kids, 86 of whom are migrant workers' kids.

se parents work in Hengjie Town. According to Xiaotian's father, they were very worried about the kid's two-month summer vacation because the factory he works in is full of large metal pieces which would be dangerous for Xiaotian to play with, and they are not willing to leave the kid at home village with grandparents. If they send the kid to summer training classes, the tuition fee would be a burden for them. Thanks to the kindergarten, they are relieved now.

Kindergartens have arranged a variety of special teaching contents including drowning prevention activities, activities against intense heat of summer, anti-thunder activities, activities concerning traffic safety, anti-abduction activities, reading classes, paper folding classes, painting classes, sports games and scientific experiments for the summer vacation. Besides, kindergarten teachers will pay visits to the homes of left-behind children and children of migrant workers and pay close attention to their family life and education.

Summer vacation is a high-incidence season of students' accidental injury, especially for those migrant worker's children. Taking in more children during summer vacation would reduce students' risk of injury, make their parents relieved and give them a happy, safe and cool summer vacation said the principal.
