Cassandra sees all, Cassandra hears all, Cassandra is everywhere. The smart home system and its electronic home assistant-played by Lavinia Wilson -have been shut down since the 1970s. When Samira (Mina Tander) and her family move into the empty house, theyre unaware that the reactivated system is no harmless household helper. Cassandra has very specific ideas about how things should run, and she wont tolerate any slip-ups. She combines an antiquated worldview with dark intentions
The new six-part thriller series starts on February 6.
Alongside Lavinia Wilson and Mina Tander, the cast includes Michael Klammer, Franz Hartwig, Mary T lle, Joshua Kantara, Elias Gr nthal and Filip Schnack in additional roles. The Rat Pack Filmproduktion-produced miniseries is directed and written by Benjamin Gutsche; it is produced by Eva Stadler and Christian Becker, with Amara Palacios as Executive Producer.
About Cassandra
Germanys oldest smart home has remained empty since its owners perished under mysterious circumstances over 50 years ago. In the present day, when Samira and her family move in, electronic home assistant Cassandra awakens from her decades-long slumber. Developed in the 1970s to care for a family, she has remained out of commission since the deaths of the houses former residents. Now, Cassandra senses a second chance, one where she can be something more than a fairy godmother who keeps everything running smoothly. Cassandra comes to see herself as an equal member of the family, and she has a single mission: to use every single resource at her disposal to ensure she is never left alone again.
About Rat Pack Filmproduktion GmbH
With its headquarters in Munich and Berlin, RAT PACK FILMPRODUKTION GmbH (a subsidiary of Constantin Film) was founded by producer Christian Becker in 2002.
Christian Becker has produced award-winning movies, TV movies, series, and international event productions including mega-blockbusters like Suck Me Shakespeer by director Bora Da tekin, Michael Bully' Herbigs Vicky the Viking and Hui Buh: The Castle Ghost by Sebastian Niemann, not to mention the Vexxer movies by Tobi Baumann / Boss & Stennert, cult hit Bang Boom Bang by Peter Thorwarth, and the award-winning production The Wave by director Dennis Gansel. Gansel also directed the live-action remake of Michael Endes global bestseller Jim Button and Luke the Engine Driver, along with Jim Button and the Wild 13. The production company saw international success with the The Crocodiles movies by Christian Ditter, who also directed Rat Pack's first German-language 3D feature film, Vicky and the Treasure of the Gods.
The companys portfolio features big names in family and childrens entertainment such as Lauras Star, The Three Detectives, Max und die Wilde 7 and Benjamin the Elephant, as well as TV events like The Hunt for the Hidden Relic and the Winnetou trilogy. It also includes major streaming productions like We Are the Wave and international sensations, such as Blood Red Sky and Blood & Gold.
The incredible diversity and proven quality of the films are the fruits of an intense creative collaboration between the production team and numerous writers and directors-both industry names and fresh faces-as well as the solid network that has formed around producer Christian Becker.
